What is IOR? Some may call us a shipper of record. Others, a foreign importer of record and ultimate consignee. But no matter what name you use, being an Importer of Record is our core business as we act on your behalf to apply for all required import permits and licenses and arrange brokerage, clearance and local delivery in the destination country.
When using our Importer of Record services, the clearance and filing is done in the name of the importer or an NTI affiliate or managing partner. As a result, all tax payments and associated risk lies with us. It is our business to ensure complete import compliance to guarantee smooth and efficient IOR customs clearance and IOR logistics, every time.
NTI provides corporates and multinationals with a full door-to-door service through which we:
- Receive equipment from vendor at our warehouses to the nearest International gateway.
- Prior to shipping any goods, we must have a green light with all parties involved in customs process:
- Prepare your shipping documents and send out for approval.
- Pre-approve all parts to be shipped with locals’ brokers and customs agent at destination.
- Apply for all required licenses and permits.
- Arrange pickup on our global carrier account.
- Clear items through customs at the required destination/s.
- Make final delivery at the destination of your goods; and
- Provide all local support required to ensure successful, predictable clearance and delivery.
